Sharon Regional Medical Center Welcomes Cardiothoracic Surgeon Brian P. Priest, MD

Sharon Regional Medical Center is pleased to welcome board-certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon Brian P. Priest, MD, to our medical staff. Dr. Priest brings many years of clinical experience and enhances the access to care for patients in the community.
A skilled and accomplished cardiothoracic surgeon, Dr. Priest’s clinical interests include aortic root reconstruction, coronary revascularization and mitral valve repairs. By joining our medical group, Dr. Priest is now affiliated with Sharon Regional Medical Center in Sharon, Pennsylvania and with Trumbull Regional Medical Center in Warren, Ohio.

Dr. Priest will serve as the medical director of the Open-Heart program at Sharon Regional. Dr. Priest is accepting new patients at his office in Sharon at: 740 East State Street located on the second floor of Sharon Regional Medical Center. Dr. Priest completed a General Surgery Residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio and an Immunology and Transplant Fellowship at University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, American Medical Association and Pennsylvania Association for Thoracic Surgery.

Dr. Priest’s arrival to the region comes during the observation of Heart Health Awareness Month in February, giving patients more access to heart care. Sharon Regional Medical Center and Trumbull Regional Medical Center both offer patients cardiac programs of distinction. Sharon Regional is the area’s only designated chest pain center and primary stroke center.
